In many of the English translations of the Bible is used a very old-fashioned style and language, thus making it almost inaccessible to many people.

In the early 20th century, Professor S. H. Hooke undertook the task of making a version of the Scritures using only the most basic and understandable English words. His version of the New Testament was first published in 1941, and the Old Testament - in 1949. This useful version of the Bible is now available in the form of a BibleStudyPro module.
